Ashley Abel Photography

Ashley Abel Photography is based in Stamford, Connecticut. Ashley Abel Photography has spent more than ten years building an award-winning portrait practice from her studio at 226 East Main Street in Branford, Connecticut, with newborn photography as one of her core specialties.

Her portfolio's dedicated newborn gallery showcases the soft, editorial style she's become known for: clean compositions, gentle natural light, and an emphasis on the small details new parents want preserved forever, like tiny fingers, sleepy expressions, and the particular way a newborn curls into a parent's arms.

Ashley approaches each session as a collaboration with the family, working efficiently but without rushing so that even easily-startled newborns have time to settle.

Ashley Abel Photography ranks No. 7 for wedding photography, No. 2 for newborn photography, No. 20 of 22 for maternity photography and No. 3 for family photography among the Stamford studios we reviewed for 2026. Their 92 Google reviews (5.0 stars) outnumber 5 of the 7 other studios we compared. Rankings are earned through research and can't be bought.

Ashley Abel Photography has been photographing clients for 10+ years. Her decade-plus in the industry has earned her a 5-star rating across more than 90 reviews, with clients frequently returning for maternity, newborn, and later milestone sessions as their families grow.
