Why we ranked them

Why we chose Hughes Photography LLC

Hughes Photography LLC is run by Darrel, a Beckley-based photographer whose portfolio spans maternity, weddings, senior portraits, and casual family sessions, with newborn and baby photography rounding out the studio's regular service list. Darrel describes his approach simply: making a session fun and different so that families walk away with images that actually reflect a real moment rather than a stiff, generic pose. That informal, low-pressure style tends to matter most with the youngest subjects, where a relaxed atmosphere often produces better results than a rigid shot list. Operating out of Old Eccles Road in Beckley, the studio is a genuinely local option rather than a photographer commuting in from another city, and its growing Facebook following reflects steady word-of-mouth business built over several years. Families researching newborn photographers in the immediate Beckley area will find Hughes Photography among the few studios actually headquartered in town rather than serving it remotely.
