Why we ranked them
Why we chose Kristy B. Photography
Kristy B. Photography operates in Sparks and Reno with a service area extending to North Lake Tahoe, and newborn and maternity sessions sit at the top of her stated specialties alongside couples, portraits, and families. She offers in-home sessions rather than requiring every family to travel to a fixed studio, which can matter for a newborn shoot where getting a fussy baby out the door isn't always realistic. Her online presence leans personal rather than heavily marketed, with a following built largely through word of mouth among family and friends who let her build her portfolio with them, a small but genuine signal of a locally rooted, relationship-based practice rather than a large commercial operation. With over a thousand Instagram followers and an active Facebook page, the business shows an ongoing, current presence rather than one set up once and abandoned. Because she works across newborn, maternity, and general family portraits, a Sparks family could plausibly stick with her through more than one stage of their child's early life. For Sparks parents who want an in-home, low-key newborn session from a photographer with deep local roots, Kristy B. is a grounded, community-based option.
