Why we ranked them

Why we chose Mercer Media Photography

Mercer Media Photography is a Louisville, Kentucky studio offering newborn sessions along with wedding, maternity, family, cake smash, and senior photography, with pricing posted directly on the site rather than requiring a custom quote. A newborn session runs $295 plus tax and includes all edited images available for digital download with a print release, plus a 30-day online proofing gallery to share with family and friends; sibling and immediate family photos can be added to the same session for an additional $75. The studio isn't currently accepting new wedding bookings, which suggests portrait work, including newborn sessions, is where its current focus lies. On her site, the photographer behind the studio describes a lifelong love of photography that started with a childhood box of old family photos and a first Kodak 110 camera, and that same sentiment about preserving ordinary moments before they're gone runs through how the newborn and family sessions are marketed. For families in the Bardstown area willing to travel toward Louisville, the flat, published pricing on newborn sessions makes it easy to compare against local options before deciding where to book.
