The Carolina Cradle

The Carolina Cradle operates out of a dedicated Summerville address on Cooper Drive, offering what it calls a comprehensive newborn session that bundles three separate setups, family portraits, sibling portraits, and all props and outfits into one appointment rather than pricing each piece separately. That all-in-one structure removes some of the guesswork new parents face when trying to compare packages across different studios, since wardrobe and prop rentals elsewhere are often billed as add-ons. The studio blends posed portraiture with candid images from the same session, giving families both the classic wrapped-baby shots and more natural, in-the-moment frames from a single booking. Family and sibling portraits are treated as a built-in part of the newborn appointment rather than an upsell, which matters for parents who want everyone included without scheduling a second visit. Maternity sessions are also offered under the same name, so a family could realistically work with The Carolina Cradle from the third trimester through the newborn stage without switching photographers. For Summerville parents specifically, having the studio physically located in town rather than serving it remotely from Charleston is a meaningful convenience.
